Citizenship Test Preparation
A course created in Storyline 360 for newcomers to Canada preparing to take the Citizenship test. The purpose was to cover all topics in "Discover Canada" while providing more context for important topics such as indigenous history. The goals was to create an engaging asynchronous and flexible course. Responsibilities: Research, analysis, instructional design, SME collaboration, storyboard development, and e-learning development. Tools used: Storyline 360.

The problem
Newcomers needed an engaging way to help them study for the citizenship test that allowed more flexibility than in-person classes. The content also needed to be accessible for those learners who did not have high English level skills.
The solution
A completely asynchronous and flexible course built in Storyline 360 that incorporates gamification, multimedia (360 degree video "field trips"), beautiful graphics, and animations. In terms of language accessibility, SLA learning theories were implemented such as simple language, high use of visuals, and repetition.
