
Ethics & Professional Conduct for RCIC's
A course created in Rise 360 for students of an immigration practitioner’s program. The purpose was to teach students how to identify the regulating body’s values and apply various articles of the Code of Professional Ethics through scenario-based learning. Responsibilities: Research, analysis, instructional design, storyboard development, and e-learning development. Tools used: Microsoft Word and Rise 360.

The problem
The immigration practitioner’s program suddenly shifted from in-person to online learning and needed a learning solution to replace and/or enhance a synchronous lesson and role-playing activity.
The solution
The material and circumstances were a good fit for a scenario-based learning model. Using ADDIE, I designed a storyboard for a module with different ethics-based scenarios to guide learners in applying the correct behaviours to abide by their professional conduct requirements.
